Maersk Line’s UK head office, recently commissioned Little Orchard Productions to create a staff video booth. The internal HR project was designed to allow staff from the world’s largest container shipping company to answer key questions on camera – in the privacy of their own office. Filmed across three locations, the footage has given the HR team the ability gather feedback in a fast and friendly way.

The format is simple; the HD camera booth is a press on/press off recording process so the sitter can concentrate on answering pre-set questions. They are able to say as much or as little as they like. The beauty of the system is that you don’t need a film crew, the staff don’t feel intimidated and you capture a lot of natural fun and action.
Jane Morris, the HR manager at Maersk Line said, “The project has been enormously successful. Our staff really entered into the spirit of the exercise, we received some extremely valuable feedback and staff enjoyed the novel approach.”
You can use this type of video booth or video diary box in a variety ways – perhaps as part of a staff conference or event? Other Little Orchard clients have even used it as a way of gathering customer vox pops.
Lewis Webster, Little Orchard Executive Producer, said, “It’s another great example of how Little Orchard can make video viable for businesses and a vital part of their internal as well as external communications strategy”.
