Vintage vs hyper modern

In the beginning there was film…and the public saw it and they liked it…

100 years later virtually every one has a camera, a video camera and a computor…

This weekend I got my 1960′s movie camera out to help Lydia shoot a music video. A quick dust down and test, and it was ready to go. The same can’t be said of my little HD handycam which is only a few years old – the battery contact has been damaged and I have to improvise its power.

Sometimes old is good…or at least it seams that way when you look back on it.

All that said, the film stock and developing was around £1,000 for 20 minutes of recording time! Uuummm….no wonder HD is such a revolution.
